Seasonal change coming
Green carts move to every-other-week pickup in November and return to weekly pickup in April. Blue and black cart schedules don't change.
How often carts are picked up
Your exact days depend on your address. Look them up once, then sign up for free email, phone or app reminders so you're notified before each pickup and if service is interrupted.

Setting out your carts
Collection trucks use a mechanical arm, so carts need clear space around them. These rules come from Calgary's Waste Bylaw — carts that don't meet them may not be collected.
- Out by 7 a.m. on collection day, on flat ground.
- For front-street pickup, place carts with wheels against the curb.
- Close lids completely. Keep each cart under 60 kg (132 lb) — if it rolls easily, it's fine.
- Bring carts back by 7 p.m. and store them away on non-pickup days.
